Former THE ALMIGHTY Frontman Records Acoustic Cover Of IRON MAIDEN Classic

March 12, 2005

Former THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick has posted the following message in the "Forum" section of his official web site:

"This week's show at The Joint [in Los Angeles] will be the second last show there for a while, the last being a bit of a St. Patrick's day bash on March 16th (yes, I know St Patricks is 17th). This week Ginger from THE WILDHEARTS will be one of my special guests, getting up and playing a few cover songs with me, and of course my fellow irishman Vivian Campbell [DEF LEPPARD] will also be playing with me, having contributed some amazing guitar work on [my] new [solo] album 'Love Many Trust Few'. I will also be doing a bit of writing with Ginger this week, which I am looking forward to. I have known Ginger for years and we have talked about writing some songs, so finally we are gonna get round to it.

"If you can make it down to The Joint, you should. It's becoming a very cool night in there with a great vibe.

"I'm returning to Ireland on the 23rd March for three weeks to play a show at one of my favourite venues, The Spirit Store in Dundalk, which is also being filmed. There is a chance I might be doing another show in the North of Ireland (will let you know ASAP).

"The final master of the new album will be delivered to Sanctuary Records this week as will the new artwork, so we should be getting some samples up here very soon, Sophie has some amazing and exciting new ideas for the website which you will be seeing over the next few weeks. I have also recorded an acoustic version of 'Running Free' by IRON MAIDEN (done a la Johnny Cash style) which may not be on the album but will be available in some shape or form. Steve Harris [IRON MAIDEN bassist] has already heard it and given it the thumbs up.

"Myself and Andy Cairns of THERAPY? are looking at studio time in L.A. over the next few months to begin recording an album under the name THE TANKS OF JUSTICE, a side project we have been planning for a while now. THE TANKS OF JUSTICE sound is one that can only be described as the MC5 meets GLORIA GAYNOR at TOM WAITS' house on acid!!!

"Right now I'm putting together my solo touring plans for the year to promote 'Love Many Trust Few' and these should be in place by the end of the month with dates in the U.K. and Ireland, the USA and Europe. I can't wait to get out there and play the new songs. I'm very excited about this record and can't wait for you guys to hear it and your reaction to it!

"I will be back in L.A. mid-April and whenever I can will play The Joint on Wednesdays!"
